Begin Your Journey to Wellbeing

I couldn't have asked for a better supervisor than Dr Joshi! He was extremely kind, patient and supportive, and I gained so much confidence as a practitioner while working with him. His wealth of knowledge, experience, and consideration of important factors such as race, culture, identity and more helped me approach therapy holistically and sensitively. I do not doubt that the skills I developed while working with him will serve me well as I continue my career in mental health.

Working with Children and Young People

An assessment allows us to understand one another a bit better. It allows me to get to know you, some of your experiences; what you need from accessing the service and what I might do to help. It also allows you to learn how I work; my style, and if you think we will work well together. An initial assessment or consultation is necessary for anyone who may require our services before undertaking any further work.

There are different types of counselling and therapy available out there. It can feel confusing and overwhelming, trying to make sense of what may feel right for you. Different people access counselling for different reasons. It's my job to work with you to understand what is going on for you, and how I can work best to meet your needs. I have trained in different types of therapies. I take an integrative approach, which means I combine techniques or adapt them based on what may work best with you. I offer a safe and confidential space for you to explore and work on your difficulties.

Children and young people often need a different approach to adults. Having worked with children and young people in the NHS, educational settings and within the charity sector, I have experience working with a range of children and young people; from diverse backgrounds and with a diverse range of difficulties.
